Visor to crown 6 in. dark blue wool 1851 pattern shako with bound leather visor and chinstrap with 2 brass eagle buttons, leather sweatband (mothing, expected wear to visor, buttons mismatched); overall length 4 in., pompon height 2 in. light blue worsted wool pompom with brass mount and pin; 2 1/4 x 1 3/4 in. die-struck brass New York state seal; 1 in. height cast brass letter "E." Interior label reads; "John. A. Baker / 162 Fulton St. / New York."
