[REVOLUTIONARY WAR]. CRAIG, Thomas (1739-1832). Autograph letter signed ("Thos Craig") to John Nicholson Esq. Easton, [Pennsylvania], 8 August 1784.
1 page, signed twice, folio, docketed verso, fully separated along all folds, with adhesive repair and chipping to edges. Typewritten paper label affixed at bottom.
Colonel Thomas Craig, 3rd Pennsylvania Regiment, writes to John Nicholson Esq., identified as Comptroller General on integral address leaf, requesting a delay in proceeding against the estate of General William Maxwell (1733-1796) for a boat he took from Lewis Gordon Esquire. Letter accompanied by typewritten transcription.
[With:] DENNY, Robert. Partly printed document accomplished in manuscript in a secretarial hand signed ("Robt Denny"), 16 November 1792. 5 3/8 x 3 5/8 in., fully split along vertical fold line, chipping to edges. Adjustment of pay for Private Thomas Taylor, 2nd Regiment from the State of Maryland in the amount of "Twelve pounds eleven shillings & four pence."
