Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. A group of 22 daguerreotype portraits of female children, including:

Sixth plate portrait of a young girl holding what appears to be a cased image on her lap. [Ohio]: A. L. Feller, n.d. (Tarnishing and clouding to edges, with some spotting throughout, and no preserver present; original seals.) Housed in a pressed paper case (separation with adhesive repair to spine, heavy wear throughout). -- A sixth plate portrait of a young girl with full cheeks and a haughty expression on her face. (Tarnishing to edges, spotting to image, mat, and preserver; unsealed.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (surface wear). -- An oval portrait of a young lady with curled hair. (Tarnishing to edges and some clouding to image.) Housed in an oval velvet push-button case (some discoloration and wear to velvet). -- And 19 others, including one quarter plate example, 17 sixth plate examples, and one sixteenth plate example, many without full cases. -- Together 22 daguerreotypes of young girls from toddlers to older kids.
