8vo. 18 hand-colored engravings, 5 maps, 5 additional engraved plates of fossils. (Some brown staining.) Original purple cloth, spine gilt (spine sun-faded, light wear to extremities). Provenance: Hon. E.P. Pickett (1851 presentation inscription from Edward Taylor).

Revised Edition with several illustrated reports.
