Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. Sixth plate daguerreotype of children posed in front of a home.
Sixth plate outdoor view of a house surrounded by trees, with three children playing with toys and a horse-drawn wagon in front. (Tarnishing to edges, spotting to plate, mat, and preserver; resealed with blue textured tape.) Housed in a half pressed paper case (surface wear, loss). One of the children stands holding what appears to be a handle to the wagon or carriage in which the second child sits. The third child rides a rocking horse. A woman, likely their mother, stands in the open doorway of the house. A lively outdoor scene featuring a family home.
