Quarter plate seated portrait of two male musicians, one holding a fiddle and bow, the other holding a guitar. (Image with very few blemishes; unsealed.) Housed in a full pressed paper case (surface wear, loss). Accompanied by slip of paper with inked identifications: "Fayette McGowan / Howell C. Merriman (guitar)." Both men pose as if they are tuning their instruments.
