4to (197 x 308 mm). (Lacking title page, tear to first page, occasional brown spotting, losses to lower corners affecting some pages.). 18th-century calf, spine in 6 compartments with 5 raised bands, red morocco gilt-lettered spine label (joints starting, scuffing). Provenance: Abram Chapman (ownership inscription dated 1796, stamped binding, Chapman Estate gift label dated June 1924). An Abram Chapman is listed as a resident of Bucks County, Pennsylvania in the 1790 census and tax roles of the 1790s and early 1800s.
An unrecorded edition of the United States Constitution and Acts of Pennsylvania. Pages [iii] through [xl] includes the constitutions of the United States and the state of Pennsylvania. Following, occupying 793 pages are the Acts of Pennsylvania from 1791 through 1795, with an Index.
