Folio, parts I & II in 1 volume. (Lacking title pages to Parts I, pp. i-xii, p. xxix-[xxx] at end of part one and title page of Part II, pp. i-viii, 1-16; and lacking pp. 183-[188] at end of Part II.) Disbound, morocco spine in six compartments with 5 raised bands with red morocco spine label gilt (lacking both boards).
FIRST EDITION of the first volume of three published by Franklin and Hall which cover the political history of Pennsylvania from 1682 up to 1744, including several of the acts that brought Pennsylvania into existence. A fourth volume was issued in 1764 by Henry Miller.
