5 9/16 x 7 7/8 in. hand-colored photograph mounted on cardstock (soiling and staining, several pinholes to mount, some separation/loss to cover page). Image and mount with numerous penciled notations and markings used for publication purposes; image with hand painted details and ink identification at bottom.
Image features Geronimo kneeling, holding an 1873 Springfield carbine rifle.
Cover page attached at top of mount features ink inscription, in part, "Geronimo Captive Apache War Chief. Globe, Ariz," and repeated handstamp reading, "Publ. Act."
