Lot Description
[EQUESTRIAN]. Come and Judge for Yourselves...Young Democrat. N.p.: N.p., 12 March 1834.
Visible 14 1/2 x 17 7/8 in. printed broadside (creases); matted and framed to 19 x 25 1/4 in. (not examined out of frame). Signed in type by Henry Gaddis, Jr.
Featuring a large illustration of a horse, presumably Young Democrat, led by a well-dressed man. The broadside advertises that "The elegant Horse, Young Democrat, will stand to cover mares" in June 1834 with details for interested parties. Follows is a description of the colt: "beautiful dapple grey, 4 years old this grass, full 16 hands high, and is well calculated for either Saddle or harness."
