[MILITIA] -- [CIVIL WAR]. A group of 4 ninth plate ambrotypes and tintypes of militia and Union soldiers of varying ages, comprising: 

Ninth plate ambrotype of a young soldier seated in a studio, his kepi resting on his knee, housed in half case (very good clarity). -- Ninth plate ambrotype of a militiaman, holding his shako, housed in half case (tarnish, some discoloration, loss to varnish). -- Ninth plate tintype of a young boy in uniform wearing a unique hairstyle, with mat, perserver, and cover glass, uncased (some surface wear near perimeter). -- Ninth plate tintype of a bespectacled, aged man wearing a bowler-style hat and uniform, with mat, preserver, and cover glass, uncased (some surface wear to plate). 

Together, 4 images of militia and Civil War soldiers.
