6 original examples of Civil War-era stamped brass hat insignia, approx. 3 1/2 x 2 in., or smaller (some with surface wear, tarnish). Includes pre-Civil War artillery crossed cannons, enlisted cavalry, infantry and artillery insignia, plus false embroidered officer’s insignia for infantry and artillery. All from Francis Bannerman Sons.
 
[With:] Francis Bannerman Sons 12pp. catalogue. New York, NY: January 1951 (center fold, spotting and soiling to paper covers). The catalogue advertises an assortment of militaria, such as Light Cavalry sabers with scabbards at $2.50 each and Union Cavalry or Artillery shell jackets at $2.50 each.
