[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. A group of 3 postmortem daguerreotypes of women, including:
A sixth plate portrait of a deceased woman lying in a bed, the image closely cropped in on her head. (Tarnishing to edges, with some additional deterioration forming a wide clouded ring mostly visible to the left portion of the image; resealed.) Housed in a full pressed paper case. -- A sixth plate portrait of a deceased woman dressed in a black gown with black gloves, resting on a table or other flat surface. (Spotting to mat.) Housed in a full Union case [Berg 3-127] (minor surface wear, discoloration to velvet pad). -- A sixth plate portrait of a partly reclined deceased woman. (Heavy tarnishing and spotting throughout image, spotting to mat; retains original seals.) Housed in a separated pressed paper case (fully separated at spine, significant wear). Mat stamped "Bridwell, Artist. / Greenfield." -- Together, 3 sixth plate postmortem portraits of female subjects.
