Lot Description
[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY]. 4 oversized half plate daguerreotype portraits of men and women, including:

Seated portrait of an identified man with slicked-back hair and a patterned vest and neck tie. (Clouding throughout image, heavy spotting to mat, no preserver present; resealed.) Housed in a separated leatherette case (fully separated at spine, surface wear throughout). Penciled identification on paper affixed to glass identifies the man as "Charles C. Hutchinson" -- Seated portrait of a young man posed with a book on the table next to him. (Significant tarnishing to edges, spotting and clouding throughout, no preserver present; resealed.) Housed in a separated leatherette case (fully separated at spine, significant wear throughout). Pencil inscription on case interior reads, "[Indecipherable] Sept 24th 1866 / Mollie A. Lance Bristol Tennessee." -- And 2 others. -- Together, 4 oversized half plate dageurreotypes.
