[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY - TRAVEL]. European travel album [With:] Havana, Cuba album.
Album from a European vacation. 1913. Oblong 4to (12 x 10 in.). 141 photographs, each approx. 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. (One image with figure removed, occasional fading.) Publishers navy cloth gilt, string-bound (minor wear at extremities, tear at spine). Album manufactured by Boston: F.H. Gilson Company, 1897. [With:] 6pp. typed document numbering and identifying each photograph, as well as dating the trip to 1913.
The album documents a trip to England, Wales, and France showing views of Paris, Notre Dame Cathedral, Mont Saint-Michel, Chartres, Stonehenge, Oxford, Tintern Abbey, Lincoln Cathedra, Peterborough Cathedral, and others.
[With:] Album from Cuba. N.d. 4to (9 1/2 x 12 1/4 in). 9 photographs, each approx. 9 x 7 1/8 in. (Some wrinking, brown spotting.) One quarter calf with brick cloth and metal letters (extremities scuffed). [With:] Two 1883 El Banco Espanol de la Habana notes tipped in to first leaf.
Views of Havana, Cuba including the Governor's Palace, Botanical Gardens, street scenes, and the harbor.
