Sixth plate ambrotype studio portrait of a seated gentleman. [Japan]: N.p., 1888 (Meiji 21). 2 3/4 x 3 3/4 in. ambrotype (some loss to varnish); housed in kiri wood half case and mat. Case dated and labeled in Japanese. -- Studio portrait of a female radish farmer. [Yokohama, Japan]: N.p., n.d. 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 in. vignetted albumen cabinet card on cardstock mount (minor spotting, wear to mount edges). Pencil inscription to mount verso. -- Studio image of 2 Japanese women. Visible 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 in. albumen, matted and framed (not examined out of frame). One figure stands with one arm and breast exposed brandishing a knife. The other figure is posed supine with a partially opened parasol, also with one arm and breast removed from her kimono. -- Studio portrait of a young woman in kimono.
