Lot Description
[POSTCARDS]. A group of 101 international RPPCs and photographs.

The lot is comprised of the following: approx. 69 postcards, mostly real photo postcards, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 in., or smaller, some unused, 2 stereoviews, and 30 photographs, 5 x 7 in., or smaller, including several that appear to have been removed from albums. The collection contains views of cities, towns, landscapes, landmarks, ruins, events, and personalities in Italy, France, England, Japan, Singapore, Africa, Egypt, Palestine, the Philippines, Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Haiti, Mexico, Argentina, British Columbia, Quebec, Hawaii, and New Zealand, among other locations throughout the world. Many of the subjects and scenes offered in this lot are identified in the negative or include handwritten inscriptions. 

Highlighted titles/scenes include: Cape Haitian, Haiti, 1918, including Haitian soldiers. -- A Moro family with monkey features. -- Devil Dancers, Ceylon. -- Multiple photographs of Pompeii ruins. -- Multiple postcards of Scottish singer and actor Harry Lauder. -- Multiple images of Hawaii. -- Image of a woman smoking a hookah pipe. 

Together, approx. 101 real photo postcards and photographs. Condition generally good to very good. Some with edge wear, including trimmed edges, toning, and album residue to verso.
