[RAILROADS]. A group of 71 RPPCs and photographs of trains, incl. train wrecks.
The lot is comprised of the following real photo postcards and photographs of trains taken throughout the United States: 34 real photo postcards and photographs showing train wrecks, many with workers and onlookers gathered near the wreckage. -- 37 real photo postcards of trains on bridges. Several scenes are identified in the negative.
Highlighted titles/scenes include: Missouri, Kansas, and Texas RR wreck at Emma, MO. -- B & O RR at the Old Forge, Akron, OH. -- Wreck on the G.N. West of Fergus Falls. -- Big Canyon Trussel on S.P.R.R., Near Sisson, CA. -- Tongue Point & Columbia River, Astoria, OR. -- Crossing C.M. & St. Paul Bridge, Jackson, MN. -- Stoney Creek Bridge. -- Multiple flood scenes. --
Together, 71 real photo postcards and photographs, approx. 3 1/2 x 5 in., or smaller. Condition generally good to very good. Some with edge wear, toning, and album residue to verso.
