Lot Description
[WESTERN AMERICANA]. A group of 65 RPPCs & photographs of Arizona.

The lot is comprised of approx. 62 postcards, mostly real photo postcards, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 in., or smaller, several unused, 1 stereoview, and 2 silver gelatin photographs, 2 1/2 x 4 in., or smaller. Many of the scenes are identified in the negative. Arizona cities and towns such as Tucson, Flagstaff, Wilcox, Prescott, Nogales, Bisbee, Oatman, Morenci, Superior, Benson, Clarksdale, Tombstone, Kingman, Ajo, Jerome, Yuma, Winslow, Miami, Hackberry, and Kingman are represented in the collection. 

Highlighted titles/scenes include: Multiple views of storefronts and businesses. -- Street scene, Oatman, AZ. -- Methodist school for Mexican girls, Tucson, AZ. -- Tourists riding mules down the Grand Canyon. -- Mojave woman. -- No. 6 Mill, Morenci, AZ. -- Magma Mine, Superior, AZ. -- Oil field, Benson, AZ. -- Old Log House at Fort Apache, Headquarters of General Crook during the Geronimo Campaign. -- Arizona Bill '49 Camp on the Isthmus. 

Together, 65 real photo postcards and photographs. Condition generally good to very good. Some with edge wear, toning, and album residue to verso.
