Early-to-mid 20th century.
Approx. 85 real photo postcards, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 in., or smaller, many unused, 2 stereoviews, and 5 silver gelatin photographs, 4 1/4 x 5 in., or smaller, capturing California landscapes, landmarks, structures, wildlife, and vegetation. Many of the scenes are identified in the negative.
Highlighted titles/scenes include: Multiple views of the Redwoods, incl. Reincarnation of the Redwood Hartsook. -- Sleeping Cabin, Liberty Inn, Al Tahoe, CA. -- Laguna Dam. -- Car traveling through the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. -- A captured fox, captioned "Ranchers Pest 'Caught in the Act.'" -- Hot Springs at Warner Springs. -- Donner Lake and Summit Bridge. -- Multiple views of Joshua Tree. -- Mt.
