[WESTERN AMERICANA] -- [WILD WEST SHOWS]. Photographs and pinbacks featuring western performers.

A group of 4 photographs of western performers/cowboys: 3 7/8 x 5 1/2 in. photograph on 6 3/4 x 8 3/4 mount (light toning and soil, scattered spotting, wear to corners), showing a double-armed woman in western attire and holding a rope. San Diego: A. Ray Palmer, n.d. (ca 1906-1917). -- 5 5/8 x 3 3/8 in. real photo postcard showing two unidentified cowboys or western performers, both holding firearms (surface soiling, three large dampstains, toning, wear to edges and corners). -- 5 3/4 x 8 3/4 in. photograph (toning, wear to corners, creasing left corner, chipping at top edge), showing western performer Mike Brahm. Inked inscription on bottom recto of image "Mike Brahm with Buffalo Bills Wild West Show 1911 / A grand good Boy of Los Angeles" and verso with "Taken at Lincoln Nebr. / summer of 1916." -- 8 1/4 x 6 1/4 in. photograph on 12 x 10 in. mount (toning, edge and corner wear, small holes at center top and bottom of mount), showing an armed cowboy on horseback. Subject unidentified but verso with inscrition "Edith Cole / 1903." 

[With:] A group of 4 pinbacks, with 2 pinbacks bearing the likenesses of Ken Maynard and Buck Jones, American actors notable for their work in popular Western movies, and 2 pinbacks bearing the likenesses of American rodeo stars and actors Hoot Gibson and Montie Montana. -- A group of 2 advertising mirror tokens, ca early 1900s, issued by saloons, hotels, and other merchants for promotional purposes. Both tokens feature a partially nude woman and the trade value, along with the name of the merchant.
