Genealogical records from Danville, Boyle County, Kentucky identify Granville Welsh Cecil (1889-1913) as the son of Charles Perry and Lillie Cecil. According to the Kentucky Advocate, Cecil died in Lethbridge, Canada following an operation for appendicitis. He was purportedly "uniformly courteous and of a genial and happy disposition." Cecil had moved to Canada sometime after 1910 and had been working there as a farmer.
