8vo (228 x 130 mm). Engraved folding map; 3 engraved charts. (Some light spotting, minor loss to border of map from binding adhesive). 20th-century boards, uncut. Provenance: Collector's bookplate, a few pencil marks. 

FIRST EDITION, attributed to the assistant surgeon Alexander Fisher on the HMS Alexander, describes Parry's first expedition to discover the Northwest Passage.  "Fisher describes the voyage up the east side of Davis Strait and Baffin Bay to the entrance of Smith Sound.
