Second edition, with plates depicting icebergs and whaling scenes after J. D. Harding, and printed by Charles Joseph Hullmandel, representing early examples of lithography in England. Manby joined Captain Scoresby's whaling expedition in the summer of 1821 on the Baffin, during which Scoresby tested a new harpoon design.
