THE FIRST
This group contains a coat, pattern of the coat, photo of the coat being worn, and a copy of a sketch of the coat.

The photographic print is black and white and features a model wearing the coat.

The copy of a sketch of the coat shows the signature of the designer "Bonnie Cashin", the date "Aug '75", and the message "Outside seaming all stitchery unlined suede". On top of this copy of a sketch are hand-written notes in pencil that state "Spring 1976" and "3532".

The pattern for the coat contains fifteen pieces.

The coat is made of tan/yellow suede with a notched lapel, raglan sleeves, and a body of the coat that is made of large panels of suede with the seams raised towards the outside of the coat. There are patch pockets sewn over each hip, and the coat closes at the center front with self-fabric ties.

The coat and skirt are made of a thick woven wool in brown and white that features a herringbone pattern on one side and a plaid on the other.
