22 x 17 1/2 in. poster (toning, some creasing, few short tears to margins). The poster, produced by Emory Douglas who served as the Black Panther Party's Minister of Culture, features an African American subject wielding a rifle and a long quote from Ernesto "Che" Guevara, hero of the Cuban Revolution: "Wherever death may surprise us, it will be welcome, provided that this, our battle cry, reach some receptive ear, that another hand stretch out to take up weapons and that other men come forward to intone our funeral dirge with the staccato of machine guns and the cries of battle and victory."
