Lot Description
[LINCOLN, Abraham (1809-1865)]. Abraham Lincoln and Hannibal Hamlin back-to-back campaign ferrotype with ribbons. 1860.

25 mm diam. gilt brass frame featuring 15 mm diam. ferrotypes of Lincoln and Hamlin on the obverse and reverse, respectively (some surface soiling to ferrotypes, some tarnish to frame, else very good). Obverse with legend "Abraham Lincoln 1860," reverse with legend, "Hannibal Hamlin 1860" (small loop at bottom of frame partially affecting the date on each side). Frame with small loop at top, suspended from red, white, and blue silk ribbons, which are attached to a stickpin adorned with small white stones (bottom portion of each ribbon fully separated, with separated fragments affixed to cardstock display board, fraying and some soiling to ribbons). Approx. 6 in. ln. overall.
