Lot Description
[LINCOLN, Abraham (1809-1865)]. A group of 2 stereoviews of Lincoln's private box and chair in which he was assassinated at Ford's Theater. Hartford, CT: Taylor & Huntington, ca 1890s.

6 3/8 x 3 1/8 in., or smaller, stereoviews on oversized, orange cardstock mounts (very good condition overall). All from Taylor & Huntington's "War for the Union, Photographic War History" series, which is comprised of images spanning 1861-1865, taken primarily from negatives attributed to Mathew Brady and Alexander Gardner.

Numbers and titles printed on mount recto and verso. 3404. Place where President Lincoln was Assassinated. -- 3405. The Chair Lincoln sat in when he was shot. -- Together, 2 stereoviews.
