Folk art carved wooden ball in cage, 1 x 1 x 5 1/2 in. (some surface wear and small chips to wood).
[With:] Minie ball lodged in 1 1/2 x 4 in. wood fragment accompanied by printed business card identified to Joseph Hajec, Collector of Antique and Modern Weapons, Utica, NY, with inked notation on verso, "Wood w/ Minnie [sic] Ball - 1.00, Sam McClaren, Richmond, from Spotsylvania." Provenance: Julian Converse (consignor relates).
