[WWII]. Signatures of pilots of the First American Volunteer Group, the "Flying Tigers."
Two binders featuring modern photographs, articles, background material, signatures, and ephemera associated with members of the First American Volunteer Group (AVG) of the Republic of China Air Force, nicknamed the "Flying Tigers." Trained in Burma prior to the American entry into WWII, these pilots of the US Army Air Corps, US Navy, and USMC defended the Republic of China against Japanese forces in 1941-1942.
Included are signatures of Flying Tiger aces Joseph "Joe" Rosbert, David Lee "Tex" Hill, Robert T. "R.T." Smith, Charles H. Older, Robert Hawthorn Neale, Ed Rector, C.H. "Link" Laughlin, J. Richard Rossi, and more.
