[WWII - D-DAY]. A large group of material related to D-Day, including:

Two large binders featuring signatures, background research material, correspondence, articles, and more, predominantly related to D-Day, highlighted by typed and handwritten accounts of D-Day as relayed by participants in Operation Overlord, some possibly previously unrecorded. Signatures of over 100 soldiers, medics, pilots, glider pilots, gunners, paratroopers, and more, incl. General William C. Westmoreland ("W.C. Westmoreland"), General James "Jumpin' Jim" Gavin ("James M. Gavin"), and General Theodore Roosevelt, Jr. ("Theodore Roosevelt").

[With:] A small swatch of fabric, approx. 6 x 5 in., identified as a portion of camo parachute cut from a larger panel that was used on D-Day, 6 June 1944, by the 326th Airborne Engineers of the 101st Airborne. -- D-Day 50th anniversary commemorative program: "The Normandy Landings 6 June 1944 / United States Commemorative Activities 5-6 June 1994." 56pp, 5 1/4 x 8 1/4 in.
