A group of 6 tinypes of hobbyists and hunters.
A group of 6 tinypes of hobbyists and hunters.
2 1/2 x 3 3/4 in., or smaller, tintypes, 2 of which are housed in paper sleeves/mats (good to very good condition overall, some with light creasing or bends, some with light surface scratches).
Subjects include: Standing portrait of a young man dressed in nautical-style clothing, wearing roller skates. -- Portrait of a man with a hat in one hand, resting his elbow on a stand or arm rest. -- Portrait of a violinist, seated on a fringed photographer's chair with his instrument. -- Studio view of two young men who appear to be holding a fishing pole, with a dog, which may be fake, at their feet. -- Studio view of two men wearing bowler hats, standing before a painted backdrop with a dog resting at their feet. They are both holding shotguns (image a bit dark, but clarity very good). -- Studio portrait of three armed hunters. The mat at right holds what appears to be either a stocked pistol or revolving rifle.
Together, 6 tintypes.
