[CRIME & PUNISHMENT]. A group of mugshots, incl. African American subject. Ca 1920s-1930s.
13 x 17 in. thick board with 16 silver gelatin photographs, 4 1/2 x 3 in., or smaller, mounted recto/verso on mount (8 on each side). The photographs show front and profile views of the subjects, with information relative to the subject's name and physical characteristics, written below each photograph (some with toning and scattered spotting). Many appear to have been arrested in New York City, ca 1920s-1930s. One African American subject from Pittsburgh, PA, is pictured, identified as Percy E. Williams, alias Black Sparrow.
