Octavo, most with contemporary half brown morocco, spine or front cover gilt-lettered (each shows shelf wear; toning and some edge wear to pages). Provenance: Vols. I-V from Miami University Libraries (bookplate inside front cover, each with stamp indicating volumes were withdrawn). Vols. VI-IX previously owned by George H. Hazzard (each inside front cover with presentation inscription identified to Hazzard). 

9 bound volumes, including: 

Vol. 1, November 1884-April 1885. Cleveland, OH. (Cracked spine); Vol. 2, May-October 1885 (Cracked spine); Vol. 3, Nov. 1885-April 1886; Vol. 4, May 1886-October 1886. Founded in Cleveland, Ohio, by William W. Williams, the Magazine of Western History was published from 1884 to 1894, with most content devoted to history.
