Lot Description
An Original April 13, 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers vs. New York Yankees Ebbets Field Program / Scorecard from Jackie Robinson's Last Exhibition Game Before Major League Debut

Original baseball program with completed scorecard from Jackie Robinson's third Dodgers exhibition game against the New York Yankees before the start of the 1947 season. Two days prior, Jackie Robinson stepped out onto Ebbets Field for the first time wearing a Brooklyn Dodgers uniform, and just two days later would make his official MLB debut against the Boston Braves.

From SABR.ORG: The Yankees also won the final game of the series, scoring four runs in the ninth inning for the 10-9 victory. Robinson, who singled in the first inning, missed a chance to be the game’s hero for the Dodgers. His foul pop left the tying run stranded at second base in the ninth inning. The victory allowed the Yankees to win their spring-training series against the Dodgers five games to three. For the three games, it was clear the fans came to see Jackie Robinson. The total series attendance (79,441) set an all-time exhibition record.

Scored, with Robinson's name penciled in batting second. Toning, light splitting towards base of spine.
