Lot Description
A Group of Over 30 1947-51 Jackie Robinson Brooklyn Dodgers Programs / Scorecards

This group of original baseball programs from Jackie Robinson's first seasons in the Major Leagues captures a succession of some of the most significant moments in MLB history, from the April 19, 1947 game played the evening after Robinson scored his first home run, the infamous "game that almost wasn't" of May 8, 1947 when the St. Louis Cardinals threatened to strike rather than share the field with an African American player, the June 4, 1947 game in which Pete Reiser ran into the concrete wall at Ebbets Field while trying to catch a line drive hit by Culley Rikard, and two 1951 face-offs against a rookie Willie Mays and the New York Giants. Many of these programs feature completed scorecards.
