16 1/2 in. dia., 14 1/4 in. tall, Civil War-era rope tension drum with wood body, red hoops, ropes and leather tabs (wear, top drumhead appears to be replacement, bottom drumhead with two 1 1/4 in. tears, one with attempt at repair, few leather tabs detached). Iron tack pattern surrounds drum hole. Internal label for "George Kilbourn, at his premium drum factory, 119 Orange Street, Albany [NY]."
