Subject sports thick sideburns, a high coiffed hairstyle, and a long checkered jacket. His vest, the baritone, and the string bass are all hand-tinted. Two music booklets are also featured atop the piano-forte, one reading "Old Mountain Tree" and the other "Fairy Dell."
