TAFT, William H. (1857-1930). Two typed letters signed ("Wm. H. Taft"), 1902 and 1921.
Typed letter signed ("Wm. H. Taft"), to Alleyne Ireland, Special Commissioner in Hong Kong. Cincinnati, OH, 24 March 1902. 1 page, old folds, some staining to folds, wear to margins. Taft references enclosed documents and a letter he wrote to the Executive Secretary in Manila. -- Typed letter signed ("Wm. H. Taft"), to Rev. John Lewis Clark. Poin the-a-Pic, Canada, 27 July 1921. 1 page, on "William H. Taft" letterhead, old folds, paper residue near to left corner. Taft expresses his gratitude for being congratulated for his appointment as Chief Justice.
[With:] Signature ("Wm. H. Taft") on page 4 of an incomplete typed letter written ca 1910 to A.P. Gardner, Chairman, Committee on Industrial Arts and Expositions (left margin affixed to black paper, old folds). Also signed by Charles Bonaparte, the creator of the FBI. -- Cello campaign button featuring portrait of Taft, 7/8 in. diameter.
