Front cover signed in upper margin, ("Thos. A. Edison"); title page signed in upper margin ("Thos. A. Edison"). 8vo, 65pp, 3 unnumbered pages, paper wrappers (toning and some soiling to wrappers, some chipping and loss to margins; occasional chipping and light creasing to internal pages). At least 10 pages have markings in black ink, 2 of which include manuscript notes related to the content that appear to have been written in a different hand.
Joseph Henry (1797-1878) was an American scientist who built the first electric motor and later became first Secretary of the Smithsonian.
