Lot Description
[CIVIL WAR]. 2 sixth plate tintypes of soldiers, incl. Union pards.
Sixth plate tintype of Union soldiers posed before a studio backdrop that appears to include a tent at the left of the frame. The soldier at left stands with his hand resting upon the second soldier seated at right. (Some creasing to plate.) Housed in pressed paper case with patriotic design. -- Sixth plate tintype of a young, fresh-faced soldier in uniform. He holds a shako with plume, which appears to bear the initials "HBC" or HOB," although they are difficult to discern. (Some creasing and few small punctures to plate.) Housed in Union case with floral design (minor edge wear).
Together, 2 sixth plate tintypes of soldiers.
