[CIVIL WAR]. 4 portraits of Civil War soldiers and officers all housed in Union cases or frames.
1 7/8 x 2 3/8 in. oval portrait of a bearded and curly-haired soldier posed casually, leaning on a table next to him surmounted by 2 handguns and propping up a cavalry saber with damaged guard. The table's cloth is lightly tinted green and pink. (Image with some surface imperfections including a few scratches and spots of discoloration, oxidation to preserver, no mat present; unsealed.) Housed in a floral Union case (some loss and repair to hinge and loss to closure edge). -- Sixth plate tintype portrait of a heavily bearded soldier, possibly belonging to the Veterans Reserve Corps, wearing a kepi with striping, a light blue-tinted jacket, and a gold-highlighted pinkie ring. (Image a bit dark, few spots; unsealed.) Housed in a floral Union case (soiling, non-functioning closure, nicking/chipping to edges/corners). -- And 2 others, including one house din a floral Union frame (significant crack to right edge).
