Sixth plate ambrotype portrait of a seated soldier with a receding hairline and beard, wearing a jean wool depot jacket. (Scratches and spotting to image, with some loss to lacquer on verso; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case (heavy wear and loss to velvet pad, repair to spine, surface wear). -- Sixth plate ambrotype portrait of a standing, heavily bearded soldier wearing a US jacket with roller or frame buckled belt having 2 pistols tucked into it. (Image rather dark, with chemical deterioration/discoloration around and affecting image, spotting throughout; unsealed.) Housed in a pressed paper case (surface wear). -- Sixteenth plate ambrotype portrait of a gentleman with a mustache, wearing a vaguely military jacket over a shirt with gold-highlighted buttons. (Chemical discoloration all around subject, with occasional spotting and surface imperfections; unsealed.) Housed in a Union case (surface nicking throughout). -- Together, 3 ambrotypes of possibly southern soldiers.
