[EARLY PHOT.]. Sixth plate ambrotype of a snake performer & tintype of woman with possible snake.
Sixth plate ambrotype half portrait of a bearded man wearing shirt sleeves and vest, having one snake partly in his mouth and another curled around his neck. He holds one end end of each snake in his hands. (Several spots of loss around edge, few to subject's clothing, heavy scratching, other imperfections; unsealed.) Housed in a half case (bottom edge separating). -- CDV-sized tintype of 3 young women sitting and standing before a table covered by a floral cloth and surmounted by objects including what appears to be a striped snake, possibly a toy. (Surface scratching, some discoloration and deterioration to bottom portion.) Sealed in a paper sleeve.
