**Colt Officers Model
.38 Special. 6" barrel length. SN: 596583. Blued metal finish with polished hammer flanks mounting aftermarket checkered walnut thumb rest grips. Double action hand ejector six-shot revolver featuring a flat-top topstrap mounting drift adjustable rear sight paired with a pinned elevation adjustable front blade. Top of the barrel shows the two-line address and patent marking COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO HARTFORD. CT. U.S.A./PAT'D AUG. 5. 1884 JULY 4. 1905 OCT. 5. 1926. with the left barrel marked OFFICERS MODEL 38 between {Maltese Crosses}. The sideplate shows a {Rampant Colt} logo along with a VP monogram proof mark to the left triggerguard. Right frame has been engraved with the name H.W.Baldwin.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is Very Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Blued finish shows some further scratches and mars over the sideplate and the rear frame. Further scattered scratches overall. Light edgewear forming overall with abrasions on the muzzle flanks. The barrel displays a flecked patina forming overall with greater patches of brown patina on the right barrel with some oxidation and mars. Grips show some light edgewear with flaking on the edges. Action shows good timing.
