Lot Description
**Colt Officers Model Match .38 Heavy Barrel
.38 Special. 6" barrel length. SN: 642857. Blued metal finish with polished hammer flanks mounting aluminum HB initial thumb rest grips. Single-action hand ejector six-shot revolver featuring flat-top frame with mounting drift adjustable rear sight and pinned elevation adjustable front blade sights. Left barrel is marked COLT OFFICER'S/MODEL 38/HEAVY BARREL with the latter marking between Maltese crosses. Top of the barrel is struck with two-line address marking reading COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A./PAT'D AUG. 5, 1884. JULY 4, 1905. OCT. 5, 1926. Further markings include a VP monogram proof on the left triggerguard, and both the trigger and hammer are both knurled. Grips wrapped in layers of electrical tape.

Condition Report
Good. Bore is Bright with strong rifling throughout. Blued finish shows light edgewear overall with, some scratches and mars to the edges of the cylinder, and a light turn ring. Flanks of the hammer show some flecks of gray patina. Grips show some flaking to the finish with scuffs and mars, and are held fast by layers of electrical tapes. Action shows good timing.
