Contemporary Flintlock Jaeger after Kuchenreuter
John B. Derrick (American, b.1936)
.50 caliber. 32" octagonal barrel. SN: NSN. Browned metal finish. Walnut stock has carved floral rococo scroll to straight grip and forearm, with carved cheekrest to left side. Flintlock rifle with two leaf folding brass notch rear sight and blade front sight. Item features a single trigger, patchbox to right side, and double sling mounts. Stock features heavy wax-cast brass fittings showing floral scroll and game scenes with deer motifs, as well as Diana the Huntress to triggerguard. Includes a leather sling and flint pieces in patchbox.
