Winchester's monogram proofmark is offset on both the barrel and receiver to clear the barrel rib, and the receiver displays Winchester Number 3 Engraving. Embellishments consist of vignettes of {Three ducks in flight} on the left side and a {Pointer facing the ejection port} to the right, both surrounded by Arabesque scrollwork. The underside of the tube is engraved with a {Pigeon} above the serial number. Left barrel is marked WINCHESTER MODEL 12-12 GA. 2 3/4 CHAM./MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL.
