Right frame is engraved with the maker marking VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD/NEW YORK with model marking to the left reading THE KNOCK ABOUT GUN. Item features sunburst scroll to the hinge pin and securing screw, and to the locking lug. Upper fences are matted with light border scroll surrounding the Arabesque scrollwork flowing from the dollshead to the rear of the matted barrel rib. Retailer mark appears on the upper left barrel and the model to the right. Barrel flats exhibit Belgian firing proofs and choke markings with the flat below the left barrel reading FRANCOTTE CHOKEBORE, indicating this was one of the shoguns produced for Von Lengerke & Detmold by Francotte of Belgium. Item comes in a leather bound PEDERSEN/CUSTOM hard case with yellow textile liner.
