Lot Description
**D. M. Lefever Crossbolt 12 Gauge
12 Gauge. 26.875" barrel length. SN: 1987. 3" chamber length. Cylinder Bores. Blued metal finish with color case hardened frame in a Walnut semi-pistol grip stock with splinter forend and front bead sights. Double barrel side-by-side boxlock ejector shotgun featuring a matted barrel rib. Flanks of the frame are struck with the manufacturer marking THE D.M. LEFEVER CO./BOWLING GREEN, O. Watertables are struck PAT. 1902, while the underside of the right barrel exhibits a weak KRUPP ESSEN marking beside the serial number. Shotgun mounts a hardrubber semi-pistol grip cap and an aftermarket synthetic buttplate. Irregular barrel length indicates barrels likely cut down at some point. Item is not engraved.
